All the Girls at Aunt Grace’s for the Summer. Aunt Grace’s
last name was Lappin born 1876 Iowa. Owner of a children’s
boarding home 44 widowed. First married at 22.
Caroline Belle (Riggins) Trusty b. Nov 1853/IN (another record shows
her born Nov 20, 1862?) d. Feb 8, 1915 Caroline is buried
Bethelridgre, KY. Married Adam Trusty on Oct 11, 1876/IN. She was the
daughter of John Wesley Riggins b: 1821 in Kentucky married Anna Rose
Wren b:1820 in Montgomery, Kentucky.

The Trusty Family 1933
We think the three young women to the left of Marguerite are the
DeBord girls, daughters of Allie M (Ella May (Mae) Trusty (b.July 3,
1881/d. Dec 27, 1969) who married Lorenza “Lantz” Perry
DeBord b. June 9, 1877/d. Dec 24, 1970.
The DeBords came from Casey County, (Somerset) KY. Both are buried
Arlington Cemetery on Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH. One of their
daughters is Alta Muriel DeBord Merritt (Murl) who had, among her
children, a daughter named Lillian Merritt Schlarman who had, among
her children, a daughter, Linda Schlarman. Allie Mae was the sister
of Walter Trusty, pictured to the right. We believe she is pictured
along with her husband (on the left next to their daughters) and two
of Allie Mae’s sisters are also present in the picture with one
of their husbands standing behind.
