Luther Martin Riggen & Nettie Thornburgh & Marguerite 1906,

Evan Thornburgh 1827 and Julia Ann Rayle.
Luther is the son of Caroline Belle Riggen father unknown. Caroline's
parents, Rev. Wesley Riggen and Anna Rose (Wren) Riggen. Luther
Martin Riggen was born out of wedlock before Caroline married our
g-grandfather Adam Trusty.
As to the father of Luther. "We have never been able to find out
anything except for the story that a stranger came up to Luther at a
race track where he was working and visited with him. After the man
left his boss told him that was his father." Information
provided by Pat Mauch.
The 1880 census lists Caroline married to Adam Trusty with two
daughters, Angie, 2 yrs. old and Lienetta, 1 yr. old. They lived in
the house next door to Washington, Anna and Luther. Later Caroline
and her husband, Adam, moved to Bethelridge, Kentucky, where they
raised six daughters and one son.
