John born August 16, 1834, served in the Civil War, 1st Ky. Calvary Company A. The father of nine children: Elizabeth (Bettie), George, Silas, Huston, H. L. Emmor, Janie, Mack and Eva. Piety Ann (Carman) Watson was the mother of first Three, Charlotte Watson (picture page 84) born 1852 died 1907, mother of next five. His third wife, Quintilla, made John G. very happy when she presented him with a baby girl in August 1914. John G. was a few days short of being 80 years old.
